Spread the word about Shake It for Shelter

Shake It Committee members, sponsors and friends all work to spread the word about Shake It. Here are some of the most creative efforts to date. Who knows - an award may be in order?
From Linda Shpilner - Limo 18:

Hockey parents sometimes get a bad rap. Here at LBYH we like to think of ourselves as fun loving, charitable people with heavy emphasis on the 'fun loving'. Many hockey families are either supporting, or participating in some way in the annual 'Shake It for Shelter' event to be held at our very own Hayden Ice Rink on Saturday evening, June 7th. For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to attend, this event would fall in both the 'charitable' and 'fun' category. LBYH dad Steve Farrell, who will chair the event, will be performing with The Captain Miles Band. Right by Steve's side will be everyone's favorite coach, Tim 'Bombay' Coughlin, strutting his stuff for his swooning female fans. This could be reminiscent of bygone Tom Jones days with unmentionables flying everywhere. Dust off your dancin' shoes.

There will also be a silent and live auction with great prizes, lots of rock and roll, and even a mechanical bull. All proceeds benefit COMPASS for homeless families. Tickets and more information are available at
